Objects:
1. Popularization culture heritage and peoples diversity through traditional wrestling
2. Popularization and development of Belt Wrestling in Europe
3. Strengthening of friendship connection to international sports organizations
4. Promotion of the health life style

Venue: Central City Sport Hall
Organizers:
1. Sport committee for non Olympic Sports of the State of Latvia.
2. Ineternational Belt Wrestling Assocation
3. European Belt Wrestling Association (EBWA).
4. Lativan Belt Wrestling Federation
General direction of competition is realized by Lativan Belt Wrestling Federation and International Belt Wrestling Association. The leading of competition is laid on the Organizing Committee and Referees Commission confirmed by International Belt Wrestling Association.
Program:
1. IV European Senior Belt Wrestling Championships (Free and Classic style)
2. I European Cadet Belt Wrestling Championships (Free and Classic style)
3. UNESCO activities on TSG:
a. Conference "Traditional Sport and Games
– effective instrument in society social – economic development and peace building process"
b. "Sport and Culture" CIGEPS Working Group meeting
4. UNEP activities – " Youth for a Better World":
a. Tree planting action "Plant for Planet" (festival participants, local school)
b. Beach and port cleaning action (festival participants, local school students, local diving center)
c. Art exhibition on the beach (festival participants, local school students, local diving center, city art center)
5. Sport for Peace and Development:
a. "Play for Peace" – training seminar for post conflict countries (ARM, AZE, EST, GEO, GRE, ISR, RUS, TUR, …)
b. "Fun Run" (festival participants, local school students)
6. Folklore Festival
23 June - Arrival day, Accreditation, Training session
24 June - UNESCO and UNEP activities
25 June - Competition, Play for Peace
26 June - Competition, Play for Peace
27 June - Folklore Festival, City Tour

Comptitors:
Belt Wrestling
1. Only national teams of the National Federations are allowed to compete.
2. Age of the competitors – not younger than 18 on day of competition.
3. Consisting of team – 18 persons: 1 couch, 1 referee, 15 sportsman.
4. Weight categories:
- Men: -45 kg., -50 kg., -55 kg., -60 kg., - 65 kg., -70 kg., -80 kg. (classical and free style).
- Women: -44 kg., -48 kg., -52 kg., -58 kg., -66 kg (free style).
